Method 1: Use the ‘Null Password’ Approach
This method is for naive users who just don’t need a password, be it on a login screen or during making any changes to the system.
Step 1: Choose Apple menu () > System Preferences > Users & Groups (or Accounts).
Step 2: From the left pane, select your ‘Username’, unlock the ‘Padlock’ and subsequently tap on ‘Change Password’.
Step 3: System will ask for your Old password and the New password you want to switch to. Enter your Old password and tap on the ‘Change Password’ button. Remember, do not fill anything in the new password field.
The system will send a prompt conveying there’ll be no password for this user. Agree with it and tap on ‘Continue’. You have successfully set the password as ‘Null’. Best macos apps. The next time you get a prompt for entering the administrator password, just tap the ‘Enter’ key from the keyboard and your command will get executed instantly.
Method 2: Use a ‘Root User’ Account
The Root or a Superuser is on top of the hierarchy with the read and write privileges to more areas of the system, including files in other macOS user accounts. Illustration apps for windows. Once you are a superuser, your system will never ask for the password before making any changes.
